ICECO (Secop BD) error code E5
Compressor control module (ECU) temperature protection: the module is above 212 degF (100 degC, converted) or below 14 degF (-10 degC, converted), from high or low ambient or a high system load. Same as Secop BD error 5 (Thermal failure). Secop's own figures: shut-down at 110 degC, automatic restart below 100 degC after the restart delay (default 60 s). ICECO's 212 degF limit is lower than Secop's 110 degC trip; both are stated here.
What to check, and in what order, is in the app. The flow ICECO portable fridge - E1-E7 / LL / HH display code (Secop compressor) walks this code step by step with the pass/fail measurements, wiring schematics and procedures that go with it, and it works offline in the bay.
