Cummins-Onan QD error code GENERATOR ALERT (QD 3200)
Fault message with three possible causes: the Operator Panel in the vehicle cannot communicate with the inverter in the generator set (most likely when attempting to start); without power from the PMA auxiliary windings AC3 and AC4 the inverter cannot communicate with the Operator Panel - and if the inverter sees output frequency too high (engine speed greater than 4200rpm) it shuts the set down; or a faulty inverter. CAUTION Always perform stator check before replacing the invertor. Failure to do so will result in damage to the inverter. QD 3200 (HDZAA) - this inverter-type diesel shows TEXT MESSAGES on the remote Operator Panel display, not the blink codes of the QD 6000-10000 '(QD)' entries. Warning and fault messages, once cleared, cannot be retrieved; to clear faults turn the display off/on.
