Suburban error code Flame sense <7 µA

WarningFurnace (Forced-Air LP)Verified against the manufacturer's manual

Units with a separate flame-sensor probe only (remote sense): the burner lights but the flame-sensor current is below seven micro amps within seven seconds after ignition, so the board shuts off the gas and goes into lockout. Single-electrode furnaces (local flame sense - e.g. the 521099 'LOCAL FLAME SENSE 12 VDC' board, TM Fig 31) sense through the spark wire and electrode - there is no sensor wire to meter, and a meter in that lead is in the high-voltage spark lead. Remote-sense units: a SEPARATE flame-sensor probe (a second rod with its own wire to the board) - remote flame sense. Suburban documents show this on the older 12 VDC Dynatrail NT furnaces (NT service manual) and on the park models (parts manual: 520947 'REMOTE FLAME SENSE 24 VAC'). The sources conflict on the park board - the Service & Training Manual's 520947 sequence says 'through the spark wire and electrode', the DD-17DSI manual's copy says 'through the flame sence electrode', Fig 32 is captioned 'Remote Flame Sense' - so go by what you SEE on the electrode assembly.

What to check, and in what order, is in the app. The flow Suburban furnace — 3-trial ignition lockout diagnostic walks this code step by step with the pass/fail measurements, wiring schematics and procedures that go with it, and it works offline in the bay.
